About the Lyceum
Participation in intellectual competitions

Any guest who comes to us immediately notes a high intellectual level inside the Lyceum. It is not in vain that our teachers see their main aims to develop the children’s thinking and to create intellectual and spiritual atmospheres in children’s environment.

One of such priorities is to make the student aware of the value and importance of education. A great help to do this is one of the main festivals in the Lyceum, which is held here annually - it is an intellectual marathon for the students of the 5th-11th grades. It covers all the subjects and stimulates the children’s love for knowledge.

This inspires the children to get a taste for a subject outside its academic context. They also use the knowledge they have already obtained to demonstrate their skills.
It is just the first step before they enter the arena of city competitions where they participate every year to feel competitive enough.

Among such competitions there is the International Mathematical Olympiad called "Kangaroo", Moscow Festival of Intellectual Games and All-Russian language Olympiads established by the Association of Non-Governmental Educational Institutions.

For the last three years our students have become the prizewinners of this Olympiad (see "Our Achievements"). The judges are native speakers, representatives of international organizations such as the British Council and teachers of the largest Moscow language universities.
