About the Lyceum
 Project and Research Activities are undertaken by the students of the Lyceum in two spheres - Natural Scienñe and Humanities. The humanitarian sphere embraces a wide range of subjects – from foreign languages to the History of Arts. In the preparatory stages of project work the Lyceum students participate in different kinds of activities including library work, the searching of the materials on the Internet, sociological polls and work over their own films and photoalbums as well as participation in the theatre performances. The expeditions play an important role in project and research work of natural scientific spheres. The students go hiking for 1-3 days with their devices and equipment to watch over natural phenomena and to collect insects, rocks and herbariums. There they practiñe all the skills which were obtained while studying the subjects of natural sphere. Then they process the data and on these data children prepare a project, which is then debated at the Lyceum conference. Humanitarian and natural scientific trends come in touch from time to time forming a combined educational field. Sometimes the project works are presented to the city scientific practical conferences such as “Lingua” in the Gymnasia of Izmailovo or in “Promo-M” school where our students present their works in English. In summer 2002 the first attempt was made to participate in an international on-line conference.
